After installing the 1.01 patch for COD2 the performance of the game with the settings I used before was horrible. Even if I dropped down the res. and detail it still seemed way too choppy. Anyone else seen this problem?

Your CPU is Hyperthreaded, correct? If not, that is your problem.

The patch is meant to boost performance of the game with HT or dual core Intel chips.

Try reinstalling the game and patch, see if that helps.

I got a fricken huge boost from that patch, I have dual core. However, in dx9, it became uber choppy, but dx7 was fine. I play the mp in dx7 which is fine anyway, but everyonce in a while in smoke, things would get weird and they didn't before. I reinstalled the game and left the patch out, lol.
