Troubleshooting my AMD

Alright I am having a small/big problem with my computer at the moment.
So everything seems to run just fine and dandy.
I am dual booting with XP and Vista so I run whatever floats my boat.
But every once in a while my computer will freeze and cause me to do a Hard Shut down. Then when I reboot it gets stuck before the "Choose the operation system you want to boot from" screen. So I can't load either Vista or XP. It will do that a couple of times. So then I leave it alone for 10 minutes and come back. Everything boots just fine. Like nothing ever happened? Explain that? It happened to me now 3 times. I don't know how to explain it. It's really frustrating tho because its like a 33% success rate when I try to boot my computer in the mornings. Any problems like this common? Would a reinstall of Windows xp and vista solve anything? Or do I need to totally redo my raid.

Have you check all the power connections and ...
Check for any bad data cables to the HDDs and CR/DVD-ROMs

I will give that a shot tomorrow. This could be a very good possibility seeing that I LAN like twice a week and move my case from town to town haha. I will just take everything out tomorrow clean it and put it back in. Then see what happens. From the looks of it? Does it sound like anything might be damaged?
