I wanna see how cool i can get my 7800GTX with the stock cooler. I know some people removed the shiny plate thing and put a 80 mm fan directly on the copper fins but if I did that should I leave that little blower fan thing thats on the HS running or unplug it? Also any other tips besides putting AS5 on the HS to get it to run cooler?

just leave it on....don't worry about it....if you turn it off, well...the big fan would be trying to turn the little fan and it'd get in the way.

when i did that i left the little fan on. just leave it on, it won't hurt anything. i just taped down a fan on to the fins with electrical tape and vuala, 37C idle, never above 60C when playing games or looping 3DMark05.
