Hey everybody Im pretty new to the overclocking world and am In need of guidance. I am trying to overclock my system to as close to 4ghz as possible but all I just dont know what to be boosting voltages on etc as there are so many options!!

Heres my spec

Asus P5Q-E Mobo, (2101 BIOS)
Corsair TX750w PSU,
4x2GB OCZ Reaper 8500 1066mhz,
Q9550 (E0 stepping), Xigmatek Red Scorpion S1283 CPU Cooler (OCZ Freeze Extreme Thermal Compound)
Gainward Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 (x2 crossfire)
2 SATA 300 drives

At the moment I have settings like this and cant get past 10 minutes with prime 95 x64!!

AI Overclock tuner : Manual
CPU Ratio Setting : 8.5
FSB Frequency : 400
PCI-E Frequency : 100
FSB Strap to North Bridge: AUTO
DRAM Frequency : DDR2-1003
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel A1: AUTO
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel A2: AUTO
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel B1: AUTO
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel B2: AUTO
DRAM Timing Control : Manual

5-5-5-15

DRAM Static Read Control: AUTO
DRAM Read Training : AUTO
MEM. OC Charger : AUTO
AI Clock Twister :AUTO
AI Transaction Booster : AUTO
Common Performance Level: AUTO

CPU Voltage : 1.3
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (0/2): 0.67
CPU GTL Voltage Reference (1/3): 0.65
CPU PLL Voltage : 1.52
FSB Termination Voltage : 1.28
DRAM Voltage : 2.10
NB Voltage : 1.3
NB GTL Reference : Auto
SBridge Voltage : 1.2
PCIE SATA Voltage : 1.5

Load Line Calibration : Enabled
CPU Spread Spectrum : Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum : Disabled
CPU Clock Skew : AUTO
NB Clock Skew : AUTO
CPU Margin Enhancement : Performance

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!

Well for starters read some guide on here. I am a firm believer that the best thing to do while trying to OC is find the limits of your RAM, mobo, and CPU. Once you find those you will know what can and what you can't do with your system.

Your settings aren't too different than mine, but you might want to give vcore a bump since 1.3 is pretty low.
