Do some benches and stuff for me? Thinking about it for new build. Heard some people had trouble because it overlapped ram sockets, you have that problem?

I cant do any benchmarks for you that will be anything relevant unfortunately. This baby is going on top of a TEC cooling system.

And no, as long as you dont have the Corsair memory that is like 2 cm taller than other rams, there is no conflict. I have Crucial Baslistix Tracer ram and it fits.

OK and by corsair do you mean actual corsair, or is it just because the heatspreaders on the corsair are bigger and the ram on the crucial has no spreader?

I mean the Corsair with LEDs has a heatspreader that is too large. The heatsink does overlap the ram sockets, but it fits over the ram nicely. This all works out if you dont need to change your ram 24/7.

TEC stands for Thermo Electric Cell (or cooler)

It makes one side hot and the other side cold with electricity. thats the basics.

The Corsair ram in my main system doesnt interfere with my heatsink, but i dont have a blue orb 2 in it.

For more on TEC cooling check out the section dedicated to TEC/Pelter
you will need cold and hot plates, also the blue orb II has a hollow copper core, I dont know how much that will affect the cooling what is the max thermal dissipation on the blue orb my freezer pro can get rid of up to 250w of heat

I had a Blue Orb II... and in most cases it will block your first 2 memory slots. Its huge but it also cools the NB. Plus its not loud (at least for me because my PSU is so damn loud and I just dont hear anything else beside it).

Temps are OK IMO, did ran a few stress tests and got 40ºC max and 34º idle in a hot day.

Yeah, Peltier, that I understand. And the Blue Orb is to cool the hot side of the peltier. Don't peltiers sweat on the cold side? Maybe you could use a peltier to help cool a water block, then no big radiator. Oh woe is me, I have a new Zalman 9500, no OC and it is idleing at 47*C.Thats about 117*F in a 80*F room. I guess I'll have to put my 'puter in the 'fridge.
