Twisted cables

Hey guys. I got the Denon D2000's about a month ago and love them to death but there is one problem. I guess when they were being put together one of the 2 cables that go to the cups was twisted. So it has a loop in it that REALLY bugs me. I know it's probably not a big deal to most of you, but when I pay 350$ for a pair of cans I was hoping for quality. Is there anyway to fix with or would I need a recable? I've tried hanging them upside down and straightening the wire out but the actual sleeve is twisted as well. So when I do undo the loop the sleeving expands and the threads on the sleeve seperate.

post a pic. I could prob fix them for you.
that isn't a huge deal. probably from poor packing. i really recommend soloz re cabling them if you want to go that far.
I was hoping I could do it myself, just don't know what to do exactly. I know it isn't a big deal but it bugs me.

Put it in warm water for a bit and than straighten the cable. Place it in between 2 boards or something.

the wires are twisted indie the insulation. it "twisting" the cable. warm water won't make the copper softer.

Yeah, so what could I do? Take it apart and twist the wire inside the headphone itself?

probably the only sure way is to take apart the one side, desolder the cable untwist it and then solder it back on. You need to be very careful with this as headphones are basically tiny speakers. the voice coils are small and cannot handle much heat. I recommend if you are going to do this you use a variable heat solder station with a low melting temp solder. If not, at the very least use a heatsink.

That is a bit too scary for me to try. I guess i'll just need to live with it. Thanks for the suggestion though. How much might a recable cost, if I decide to go that way?
