I recently purchased a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Motherboard and I noticed there is a place on the motherboard that has 8 pins. My power supply does not have any 8 pin connectors, however it does have multiple 4 pin connectors. Two 4 pin connectors fit in it perfectly.
Anyway, my question is, is there a difference between using an 8 pin connector vs two 4 pin connectors? Should I purchase a converter to convert to an 8 pin connector using a 4 or 6 pin? Is there a difference in power?
If any of these questions could be answered it'd be very much appreciated.
Thank you!
