Our first patch for PC will be released today worldwide, and will autoupdate when you launch the game. Patch 1.01 will feature several fixes and update including all of the following key improvements:

Multiplayer

- Server's IP address now displays in lobby, beside the match’s name (for direct IP join to work)
- Dedicated Server can now be launched in command line.
- Improved match start conditions. Ranked games can now also start if the player max is attained and everybody but the host is ready.
- Fixed a bug causing random crashes when joining a game.
- Ranked matches in progress will no longer display in the match list.
- Fixed players with same name by using identifiers instead of names.
- Fixed crash when creating a LAN game without a network cable.
- The diamond pool is now always validated after class upgrades, reset or rank up to avoid getting more diamonds than you are supposed to for your rank.
- When creating a dedicated server with PunkBuster enabled, then close it to create another but this time with PunkBuster disabled, PunkBuster will still be considered ON, on this new server.
- Fixed a problem where a player could get stuck (and couldn’t get killed) after pressing the interaction key while wounded and getting rescued by a teammate at the same time.
- Fixed players getting disconnected if they have too many user maps and try to enter the map rotation menu in a Player or Ranked match.
- Vehicles will now always respawn even if they are never used.
- Fixed users not being able to see a match if the host switched match mode after a rank.
- Fixed a glitch that could make a player invisible to another.
- Fixed incorrect check for negative values when adjusting diamond count.
- Fixed a problem where a player would render through objects if healing a wounded playing while being wounded at the same time.
- Fixed reload not being interrupted on the host when a client picks a weapon while reloading.
- Fixed Field Manuals not unlocking after game mode change.

Singleplayer

- Fixed health not changing with the difficulty level.
- Keyboard controls remapping in single mode now carry into multiplayer mode.
-A buddy will no longer get stuck when healing him while player is receiving damage.
- Stats of favourite weapon are now properly reset between loaded save games.
- The mortar will no longer move the player through wall.
- Mission objectives markers are now show properly after loading a save game.

General

- Fixed glider key remapping.
- Game will now minimize in order to show the website when clicking on ubi.com.
- Dolby 5.1 is now supported for most sound cards.
- Fixed a random crash that could happen when pressing ESC to cancel a Benchmark run.
- Added CPU Intensive benchmark test run.
- Fixed Jackal Tapes and Partner Tapes pages.

Map editor

- Fixed crash in editor when deleting many objects in very rapid succession.
- Fixed crash in editor during parsing of the map headers.

This patch is just a first step in our efforts to support you and our games, and we are still working on other issues reported, meaning you can expect other patches and updates to come soon.

Thanks all for your patience as we continue working on improving your gaming experience.

Wish they could have gotten a little more in the first patch, but I guess it's a start. Never had any of those single player issues happen to me, but a lot of people must have.

I wish they would add in some more bus stations. I am about 27% through the game and already cant take the long driving sequences any more. Either that, or make your vehicle as fast as the enemies.

if its anything like most companys than they left out alot of other minor fixes.

no AI rebalancing to stop them being over aggressive?

this is a waste of time, and so are they
When they fix NPC's with x-ray scope sight that wont die until you use one clip on them, then im happy.

Same here. Wasn't Crysis similar in the fact that the enemies took too many bullets to kill and they eventually patched that? I know it is Ubi here, but looks like they need to come up with some gameplay fixes to make the game more enjoyable for us. I know its a "game", but at least make humans act like humans and not super-humans.

Do you guys have the accuracy upgrades for the guns you're using? Right now I'm using the silenced MP5 and silenced pistol with both upgrades and the baddies go down with one, maybe two headshots. This is on hardcore mode, I can't speak to the others.

I have some of the accuracy upgrades, but I thought that just helped with aiming not stopping power. I didn't notice a difference in the amount of bullets it took to kill someone after getting them. And, "one, maybe two" headshots
? It should never take 2 headshots to kill someone..even on the hardest setting.

I guess it all evens out in a way. The player does take a lot of damage to before dying.

Damn. I really hoped they would do something about the respawn rate of the enemies.. I hate it when a full camp is fully restored in 5 minutes..

This made me giggle... so true. I bet they didn't even bother with the random crashes for Vista 64bit. I'll almost put money on it.

That's one of the thing they fix also. Should make it like a whole day cycle or something like that

It has never taken me more than 1 shot to the head to kill someone, granted I am playing on Normal.

Yeah true but then again if you miss than it will take more.

Things I want fixed the most (none are mentioned here):

1.) Random crashes in DX9
2.) Framerate drop after 15-20 minutes in DX10
3.) Insanely aggresive AI, do these guys normally just shoot at every person they ever see or drive by?
4.) Camps respawning after a few minutes. It is terrible to drive to a mission location, driving through 3 camps on the way, and then after completing it knowing that you have to drive back through those camps and fight guys all over again.
5.) Cars of equal speed at least to the bad guys. It is ridiculous, you can kill the guys in a jeep, take the jeep and drive it, and the next group of guys are still faster than you.
6.) Cars not steaming after being shot from behind.

The game is difficult for reasons that it shouldn't be.

go play it on the 360 if you are having problems aiming, im sure they have SOME kind of auto aim...

I completely regret buying FC2 unfortunately. Just isnt very interesting and all the driving is boring. At least they're patching it.
i find the stopping on all the guns pretty dead on, mp5sd is supposed to weak since it is using pistol rounds...
game balance wise, they have to make it weaker, otherwise whats the point of using other loud weapons that do the same damage? and they did class the mp5 as a rifle...

and you're ok with an enemy taking TWO HEADSHOTS to go down? since when does someone survive a headshot? thats why its a headshot. especially with a 7.62mm sniper rifle bullet.

but fair enough.

and to the person that said didnt Crytek fix Crysis' AI with a patch, you are right, the first patch they released stopped the enemies taking half an hour each to kill. Far Cry 2 needs the same treatment ASAP.
