I have a Dell mini 9 on order. Has Ubuntu 8.04 (Remix?)

This will be my first try at Ubuntu. Mainly interested in internet browsing/downloads. I may need 1 Windows program installed and found I might need something called WINE.

Excuse my stupidity...Can someone tell me how to install WINE on this netbook? Do I need to be connected to internet and download/install from there? Can I download to PC and transfer to netbook via USB drive?

At the moment, I'm clueless.

or go to add/remove, make sure the box at the top says all available applications instead of Canonical supported applications, and then search for Wine
