I've been through quite a lot of microphones so I'm curious to see what this is capable of.Razer today announced the release of the Razer Seirēn (pronounced like "siren"), described as "a plug-and-play digital microphone designed for studio-grade recording and streaming."
The Seiren features an anodized aluminum body and will feature an LED-lit Razer logo. It features three 14mm condenser capsules and will respond to frequencies ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz. It has a sensitivity of 4.5mV/Pa at 1kHz and a maximum SPL of 120dB. The microphone will also feature a built-in headphone amplifier for those who might need to attach a pair of headphones for monitoring.
The Razer Seiren is priced at $179.99 for the microphone only, or $229.99 that includes the shock mount and pop filter.
For all of the OCN streams and podcasts, we used Blue Yetis and Neumann mics. And at the price they're asking, they're certainly a lot of competition in that area.
