They are the same RAM, just different stock timings. Exactly the same chips. The 1600C6, 1600C7, 2000C7 and 2000C8 are all exactly the same IC's/RAM, just with different timings as stock.

thanks, i read that the 2000cl7 had better ( maybe it was higher binned ) IC's.

Nope, all the same IC's. Some can be hit and miss at 1600 @ C6 though, but that's generally because of the platform it's being used on.

£60 is between the lower n highest price so seems the balance.
Waffle is right about all being the same chips my perfect storms are 2133 at 8 8 8 n I had a 2200 set with the same timings and both sets do 6 6 6 18 at 1600 on my rig
