Ok guys im really confused with this mobo theres so many settings and everytime i try to do sumting it wont let me boot up. so far the only settings i have touched is the dram instead of auto im using a 1:1 divider since i have this memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231019
and what settings do i need to increase my vcore to 1.5v?

Please help!!!

You can use the settings upto 1.55v and then if you need more than this you'll need to apply the Special Vid. This is just a % of the voltage setting Eg. 104% of 1.55v = ~1.61v

Ok i read sum of it and figured it out how to set some of the settings, i can pass super pi 1m but wont let me pass occt. gives me error after 5 mins. what am i doing wrong?
Dram:200 (1:1) = 270mhz
Fsb: 270
Multi: 11
Htt: x3
Vcore: 1.61v
Dram:2.80
LdtV: 1.30v
I even tried fsb of 277 same settings bsod!!! please help what am i doing wrong? 2.5 3-3-5 timings

the memory timings can be a little backwards when you put them into the bios, I believe if you want 2.5-3-3-6, set it like 2.5-3-6-3 in the bios...try to leave most everything else at auto.

Use 1.4 for your LDT voltage, and 1.6 for your chipset/nf4 voltage..

Use this chart for figuring out the VID+Vid special = vcore adjustments....
leave the VID startup at startup, or increase to 1.5-1.55, up to you, i like startup.

Use the 1.5+110% = 1.65v
also run 273 x 11 = 3.0 go4it
make sure your mem frequency is 200 1:1

also, use HTT x 4, x3 if that doesn't work

I tried the settings u have given me still nothing wont pass after 3mins i tried 2.5 4 3 8 or dfi bios 2.5 4 8 3 still nothing!!!! its all on 1:1 divider!!!. what am i doing wrong? and oh yeah everytime i enable CPC it wont boot up iso im using 2t with all the settings

use HTT x 4

Keep CPC enabled. Use the default settings for your memory 2.5-4-4-8.

Are you running memtest to check for errors...the bios has memtest built into it. Its at the bottom of the page where you adjust all your voltages..set it to enabled, reboot, once memtest starts...hit "c, 1, 3, 5 , enter, 8" This will run test 5, its a quick test to give you an idea of errors..if that passes you are probably good and your memory isn't the problem...
Also use 2.6v to your memory.

As much as i wanna use memtest i cant!! well rather i chose not too cuz im not familiar in using it. im doing it the hard way cuz im familiar with occt now. well i tried my geil value ram with 166 divider 2.6v, 2.5 3 7 3, vcore 1.61v, fsb 273, multi x11, htt x3. so far i got it to run to 10% while on the g.skills it crashes or gives me an error after 3%. right now i put back the g.skills and trying sumting new. dram 200 everything is in auto including CPC, if i enable CPC it wont reboot gives me this 2 long beeps.

Memtest just runs untill you restart your computer (unless you toggle it in your BIOS), nothing hard about that

You might just be pushing your cpu to far, most opterons seem like they cap out around 2.8ish.

Not really on my old set up msi neo4 and geil value ram i can get a stable 2.97g. it wont let me to any higher due to vcore taps out at 1.55v. im sure i can push this proc higher just need to find out the right settings for the ram.

But I thought it had to do with the stepping? Is his a good stepping?

Yup i have the cab2e stepping, if u look at previous threads or if u search google u will see cab2e is one of the best stepping there is.. I think i figured out the problem if this dfi board is anything like my old damn dfi mobo imma try using the yellow slots instead of orange and yellow.. wish me luck

you got all 4 power connectors plugged into the mobo? You HAVE to use memtest for stability, it's so easy to use, you just let it run....there's no way you can figure out the cause of instability until you test that memory at it's default speeds......

Ok heres my current settings
DRam: 200 1:1
Vdimm: 2.60v
Ram Freq: 266mhz
Fsb: 266
Multi: 11
Htt: 4
Vcore: 1.53v
now my ram is rated to go 277mhz but every time i go with dram 233 to increase the my ram speed it wont pass dmi boot whats up with that? sorry i know i really should run memtest but im used to doing the hardway.. and i tried going with 2.97. Dram 200, Ram speed was 277mhz, fsb of 270 x 11 multi, 3x htt wont let me pass OCCT. what gives?

I just takes time and also there are different bios for different ram (ram tables)
And alot of alpha setting tweaking.

it's probably one of those "extra" memory timings in that DFI bios that's set improperly.
As far as your divider, I would never set it at 233, dont go over 200 1:1.
How bout instead of running OCCT and prime at 3.0, see if it will run a superpi 1M run. Start using the 1M run as a stability test....that will really show you the edge..
I think the problem is your vcore isn't high enough....that's usually why you cant get past the DMI page.....could also be the HTT multi also...

You could try these numbers again....

273 x 11
HTT x 4
1.525+110%= 1.68 vcore (now, this is up to you, it probably wont hurt anything, its worth a try, ive gone much higher on my chip)
Mem divider 200
mem timings 2.5-4-4-8
CPC enabled (1T)
mem voltage 2.7

I think it's a good idea to work your way up slowly here. You know your CPU is okay at around [email protected] so it's most likely the ram that's unstable. Start at around 240 FSB and work up from there, checking stability every 10-15Mhz increases. Then you've got a much better idea of what's going wrong and where. Also, the 2.6 vdimm looks a little low. How high is the ram rated to go? Maybe try upping this is it's within specs.
It'll take a little time doing it this way, but in the long run it's almost always quicker than just guessing at a config.

Tried the settings u gave me still no go yeah it passes dmi now but my damn x-connect tops out at 1.64v i cant use my damn seasonic s12 when i plugged in it 24pin 4 atx and molex mobo is giving me only 1 " YELLOW " LED. when it should be 2 "yellow" leds.. sheesh talk about having a bad luck

Ste thats excatly what i am doing right now im going thru the hard way. reviews from newegg says it could go 300mhz with 2.5 3 3 5 timing but knowing each part would perform different im not going thru what they said. well the ram is tccd so its not really a voltage hog i tried going from 2.6 to 2.8 vdimm so far same sht no go. the only thing that really confuses me is this when i set everything to stock settings or auto the ram read out from cpuz tells me its only 157mhz or 167mhz shouldnt it be atleast 277 mhz? since that the stock setting for this ram?..
