My friend gave me his Twin Frozr II for a 6970 ( Quite generous ) and I am here to unbox it and show it to you
.
The Box
The front, sharing things like Memory size and type, MSI's 3 year warranty, and many Nvidia related certifications like PhysX.
The back of the box, with specific info like the features it is compatible/comes with (Things like DirectX11, 3D Vision, HDMI, and CUDA), Requirements (such as at least 200mb of storage space, a PCI-E motherboard, and a 6 and 8 pin compliant Power Supply) and more specifications (Like model, memory size/bus, and output types)
Open a flap at the top, and you see the card itself behind some transparent material, and some hardware specific features like MSI's Dual Heat-pipe design, it's Dual fans, it's copper base, and it's high density heat-sink.
Here we see the cards ability to last for about 12 years under constant load (don't know how they made that calculation
), their no explosion guarantee (good to know XD). Also we see cool things about MSI's trademark Overclock Utility MSI Afterburner, and even some comments from people like TechPowerUp! about the Twin Frozr II design itself.
Hardware and Accessories
Here is the actual card, in all of it's splendor. We see things that the box told us about like the large high-density heat-sink, the dual pipe design, and the dual fans.
A DVI to VGA adapter for legacy monitors.
A 6 pin to 8 pin power converter cable.
Drivers, MSI Live Update, and MSI Afterburner Installation disk.
A MHDMI to HDMI cable for those without MHDMI ports on their monitors.
In Depth on the card
A close up on the front of the card. Again we see the large heat-sink, dual fans, and dual pipe design.
Here we see the PCB board, the heat-sink and the big mess of pipes, keeping this thing cool.
The 8-pin and 6-pin power ports that supply power for the card.
A closeup at the I/O plate, and the 2 Dual Link DVI and MHDMI ports.
And that about wraps up the Unboxing! I MAY show you guys things like temps and the User Interface of the NVidia Control Panel later. See you!
