I have been folding with these 2 8800gts for a long time and had a amd rig with a pci-e slot and put my card in, installed windows and 180.22 drivers. I keep getting unstable machine.

-Nothing is overclocked.
-Tried newest drivers and drivers Im using on my main rig.
-Fresh install of windows.

Its not the card as it was folding on my main rig before I moved it.

Try some older drivers, maybe 177.xx's or something. If that doesn't work, then maybe try a reinstall of the clients.

I was only able to fold on different cards (8800GTX and an 8800GS) with one of the 177 drivers. none of the new ones would work: the GS would get the same unstable machine error.

What are your temps? Your first WU was a 511 pointer, and those run real hot. Try underclocking the card some also. Try the newest drivers (182.22?).
Do you have both cards folding in the same machine? Are both cards doing it or just 1?

The temps are fine, I never had any problems until I moved the card to the other computer. Im currently folding on the 178 something drivers and getting 2888 ppd on a 511 pointer. Which is horrible..usually 3800 lol

GPU temp- 53 °C (127 °F)

Try testing your cpu and ram for stability. Since the error's didn't start until you put it in the new machine it could be a problem with your other hardware.

Well it seems to have been a driver issue, moving to a older version worked. about a day and no issues, weird but idc its working.

just reinstall the 182.22 , but remember to clean the old ones cause 2800PPD is lame , not even my GTS G80 do those numbers, and im running 122.06
