Hey guys,
my current setup:
-Antec Sonata III (1 rear fan) with antec 500W EartWatts Power supply.
-Intel i5 2500k CPU
-INTEL BOXDH67BLB3 B3 Bearup Lake mobo
-2x2 gigabytes of ram (corsair, ddr3 1066mhz)
-Asus Nvidia GTX560Ti (clocked to 900/1050/1.025V instead of 830/1000/1V)
-A simple DVD-RW from Samsung
-1 SATA Hard Drive from WD, 320GB, 7200 RPM Sata2
After looking to a lot of review sites i found out that most 560Ti videocards run much more cooler than mine (like 75° under full load - FurMark) while mine does 83° at stock speeds and 89° on overclocked speeds.
Now this probably has to do with my current case as it is supposed to be quiet and not have a good airflow.
Now I did find the NZXT Phantom Black case which already comes with 6 fans standard, plus a five channel fancontroller. Would this case mean a big improvement to my computer temps in general, and in particular my Asus gtx560 Ti?
And will my current power supply off 500 Watts from Antec still be enough to handle this new case with all it's fans and the fancontroller?
Would you also suggest to buy some more optional fans to install in the case? Or are the 6 standard fans more than enough? Or maybe buy an optional one to cool my videocard even better?
I do have to say it can become up to 30° in my room during the summer.
Next to that, do you advice to replace my stock intel CPU cooler with the Scythe Mugen II revB? It's reasonably priced and should cool my cpu enough to make me overclock it a little. While overclocking my CPU, will my motherboard support this overclocking, or do you need a more advanced motherboard for that? (I'm sorry I am new to CPU overclocking)
I hope you guys can answer to most of my questions,
thanks in advance!
