My new psu finally came in the mail and I got started overclocking the E6600 last night on air. The apogee w/b will go on soon with the mcw60-t on the x1900xtx, but I wanted to see what the oem style hsf would do, and so far I'm super-stable at 3.15 and I'm hoping to soft-cap a little more

Stable @ 2.884 ghz 800mhz memory 4cas

Stable @ 3.154 ghz 876mhz memory 4cas

hmmm....I'm not gonna lie...I'm really not that impressed with those scores...

Those should be way higher with that kinda power...

Are you gonna overclock the card, too?

The x1900xtx is at stock clocks right now I'm gonna put my mcw60-t on it

Upgrade the RAM, a DRAM divider on your Intel will hurt you. (keep it at 1:1)

EDIT: Sorry I misread the DRAM frequency. But still, keep it at 1:1 see if it's better.

No, I'm impressed by the superpi.

But the 3dmark scores should be WAY higher...I will wait till you overclock the xtx though...that should bring them up.

Nice ass rig, man.

I'd like to see an Opteron pulling upto 3.21ghz with a stock HSF and with that kind of Vcore.

The 3dmark05 score seems to go down with overclock because of low res seeming to favor low clock speeds(that happens sometimes)

But the 3dmark06 score goes steadily up

cept clocks and scores are too separate things...I know I can't clock that high...but I can get both of those 3dmark scores with inferior hardware.

K, what are your score with the stock HSF and that ammount of Vcore? Care to show us? I'm also counting CPU score marks, in 3DMark06 that is, since that it's Dual Core optimized.
