no major upgrades planned until the piledrivers come out.
i bought some blue LED lights and ill probably purchase some used promedia 2.1's (i gave my old ones to my friend, for a good reason) so I'm using cyber acoustic ones now.

id like to see what you guys have done for sub $1000 pc's too.

I agree. I chose it over the Corsair 600T white, and I'm glad. this case has an amazing look and a lot of great features, for $70 less

A ssd or a 1TB data drive would be nice, my current 1TB is slow and external.

any suggestions for lights?

i kinda enjoy that part haha

but i had long screws holding on the left radiator fan, which was the stock 120mm, i mounted it before my mobo.
i needed to put my 140 mm back up there to light the case, and i swear it took me 25 minutes to remove 1 screw. geeze

Since July? Must feel really good to finally have it put together and using it. Case looks great but what's the point of using the old CRT monitor?

Well ive been building it and replacing parts (i started long before that with an emachine's prebuilt that was crap (athlon 64 x1 @2.4 GHz, 1 GB ram) then my friend gave me a 4350 he had ( i gamed on this, 640x480 lol), and then he gave me his old phenom II dual, i bought 2 GB ram and he upgraded from a 4650 to a 6870. I landed on the same set of parts for a while (phenom II x6 1035T cpu, foxconn am2/am2+am3 mobo, 2 gb ram, 4650. the phenom II didnt work right in my mobo so i downgraded to a quad (dumb decision, id have a hexacore now if i hadnt). and then upgraded from there after i got a job.
the CRT is for my zune mini player, breakaway, temp monitoring, weather, and is helpful while skyping.
I had it already, and i saw no reason to get rid of it. the extra space is very nice.

Haha yeah I know the feeling because I just built my first official computer back in may last year and it's pretty decent now that I have it mostly finished but it took a ton of research to find the best parts for what I wanted to do with it.

Are those MOSFET heatsinks?
Cause, um.... you sinked the chokes (which are simple heat coils and are not fragile), not the fragile MOSFET transistors themselves (chips to the left). That's uh... other way around

If anyone would like to see a great budget rig, you could check out my primary PC in my sig.
It's probably got closer to ~$2000 worth of parts in there and ehhh it really wasn't supposed to be a budget build, buuutt.....
