So, I've been getting a few errors lately on my OS drive. I'll reboot and it'll automatically run chkdsk. It finds something like 140 errors. Not sure if my HDD is dying or not.

Is there a program I could scan with to verify if my drive is going downhill? Perhaps an SSD is in my future?

Much thanks for any input

Check the SMART info (in the Health tab) to see if there's any warnings. Also run the error scan. If that doesn't reveal anything (it probably will), then run the benchmark and look for performance anomalies.

Just a quick update:

I ran HD Pro and got these results:
Error Scan....
- Damaged: Error at 3129 MB (LBA 6408790)

Under the Health tab....
(C5) Current Pending sector- warning
(C7) ultra DMA CRC Error Count -warning

So, not sure how to decipher this data. Is my hdd still good? Anything to worry about?

Much appreciated

Can you take a screenshot of the Health tab and upload it?

Use the print screen key - actually, Alt+PrintScreen to grab just the HDTune window - then paste into any paint program. Save it, then upload it to this thread.
