So there's new drivers that are available for most of the GeForce cards and I was wondering what the best route is when dealing with drivers.

Do I simply just upgrade to the latest drivers or remove the older once and re-install the new drivers after the old ones have been completely removed. I've read a few comments here and there claiming that re-instaling is the best route when it comes to GPU drivers..

You should never install new drivers over your current drivers, because it could mess things up. Always uninstall your current drivers first. To do this in a proper way you must take a look at this guide.
