So, I have a PC that has an Intel Pentium-D, 512MB of Generic DDR2-533 or 667 Ram, Onboard Graphics, and Onboard Audio. If I wanted to improve this system to play games like Counter-Strike: Source, so, I am thinking of upgrading to:
-Zalman 9700LED (I already have it)
-Chaintech AV-710 PCI Sound Card ($20)
-2GB of GeIL DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) Ram ($80)
-HIS HighTech X1650XT AGP Graphics Card ($130)
I am hoping to overclock the processor to 3.6GHz 24/7 from it's 2.6GHz (I think...).

Uhhh can't that system play CSS already?? My friends old system had a low - mid range P4, 512mb of ram, and onboard video and he played it just fine.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161071 a HIS x1950pro for 140 after MIR. IF your gonna spend 130 on the the 1650xt you might as well spring a little bit more. I don't know what the situation is for this rig but it'd be worth it.
400 x 9 Multi = 3600 (your goal?) Assuming your running 1:1. It's going to be very very VERY hard to achieve, air gets to about 3.2 whereas water gets to 3.4-3.6
Why a zalman 9700, TR Ultra-120 Extreme is way better!
-Zalman 9700LED (I already have it) good
-Chaintech AV-710 PCI Sound Card ($20) ok
-2GB of GeIL DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) Ram ($80) GET DDR 2 800 to overclock much easier to 3.6GHz
-HIS HighTech X1650XT AGP Graphics Card ($130)7600GT for same performance at a cheaper price; 7900gs or X1900GT for much better performance at same price
