I used to get a 5.6 on vista WEI with my 2gb ram but when i added another 2gb ram for dual channel, i got a 5.1 and when i first booted the comp with the new amount of memory it was slower than usual but after a restart it came back to normal. im using 32-bit OS for now btw.

He is right, it is, I went from 2 GB to 4 GB and my score went down too, it is because your ram timing got a bit loser but it is ok, the performance is still there, but deferentially get 64 Bit

i will get 64 bit with win7... it loosened? i used 5-5-5-15 timing when i was still using the single stick 2GB but when i put another stick for 4GB i checked the timings and it still the same. so how did it loosened up? or should i tighten it abit? like 4-4-4-12?
don't worry about the WEI.

without changing the components of my rig, i got 5.5, 5.6, and 5.7 on 3 separate runs.

it's very fickle. ps, going 64-bit will be worth your while but the move from 2gb to 4gb of ram is not as big as people make it out to be
i needed the extra ram coz i run alot of applications.

and

in theory if i change the timings to 4-4-4-12 it will make it more faster but possibly it will become unstable?
why would it become unstable? thats not really a huge jump. try it and see what happens
i actually jumped from 6-6-6-18 to 5-5-5-15... tightening the timings doesnt affect WEI score right and its not an overclock so it wont generate more heat compared to normal?
