Instead of spending more money trying to push my board over 300HTT...thinking about just jumping on the DFI Lan-Party bandwagon. Thinking of going for the DFI LanParty UT RDX200. Crossfire. I think I'm done with Nvidia for a while. Least until I try some ATI.

Anywho, I will be getting a new processor soon anyway, and I was planning on "going out of my way" to buy a processor with a higher multi. Least this way I can get what I want and not have to worry about keeping it under 300HTT...no?

Also want either an SLI board or Crossfire. Since I'm going ATI, probably would be the best to go Crossfire. Just not sure if the Crossfire version can hold a candle to the other versions as in OCing and such...does it?

Erm...go?

Sounds like a plan.

I Have had my Lan Party Ultra D for less than a week and I allready love it - so many options for overclocking - I got my 3700+ to 3Ghz on 11*275 within 6mins off me putting the build together

No upping it 5Mhz at a time - I went from 200-275HTT with no problems.

And the package they give you -

Reasons to get a DFI

1. The box is sexy 2. The yellow rounded IDEs + orange Sata's are sexy 3. Get a UV led or cathode and you will drool with the mem slots and what not. 4. It can prob overclock a P1 300Mhz to 3ghz if they made socket939 p1's lol

Ok thats my rant about the greatness done.

Hope you make the right choice

Also I have heard the RX200 is a great for overclocking and enterprise has it - So PM him with any questions

And again.........GET A DFI

God Pook, thats awesome man, a 3000+ at 2.8ghz, why would you want anymore? I got mine from 1.8 to 2.4 and I was pumped... too bad my gigabyte board is garbage and doesnt like to detect my IDE devices at that speed. Im also considering a new Mobo, but it feels like a waste with AM2 and DDR2 available.. plus my memory isnt that great... gah I dunno.

But anyways, yeah DFI seems to be the concensus when you wanna OC like mad, and you seem to have decent memory, I know on DFI street they have a compatible memory chart you could verify your memory will work
