Upgrade Question

Hey guys im wondering what will be the most beneficial video card upgrade for me. Should I get another 4850? Or a 5770. Are two 4850's more powerful than one 5770? I can get a 4850 from Microcenter for $99. Thanks!

buy a 5770, it supports dx11 and is way more powerful than a 4850.

Yeah Dx11 would be the major reason for going for a 5770, but how do x2 4850's compare to a 5770?

a single 5770 or 2 5770.
much better than the 4850.

2x4850's will out perform a single 5770, the only advantage the 5770 had is the DX11 compatibility.

Ok thanks, I think I will go with another 4850 because when I go dx11 I will use a highend dx11 card. thanks!

What exactly do you need another one for. I know a lot of people really want to stay at the top of performance but I still have a 8800GTS that runs all my games without problem. If I were you I would simply save my money and have that much more when it comes time to get the bigger upgrade.

Another 4850 is the way to go. Most games today still don't require DX10 so it's going to be a while before DX11 is required, by then 5850s will be sub $200 cards.
