I am looking at 2 second hand cards on my new zealand auction site, similar to ebay. I am looking at a (MSI nVidia N260GTX-2D896-OC 896MB) and a (Gigabyte GV-N26OC-896I) The gigabyte card is more expensive but its the one im leaning toward as I currently have an MSI card and im not pleased with it. I have to run it on the MSI modified forceware drivers and not the standard release forceware from nVidia's site which do seem to offer more performance. I was also looking at a gigabyte GTX275 but the guy has no box for it or receipt so im not sure if thats a safe card to go with and I also heard the 216sp release of the 260s are faster than the 275s anyway. What do I do?

so its a good card and factory overclocked just like mine

since that MSI card is without box and not trusted.. Go for Gigabyte GV-N26OC-896I

its not the MSI without the box, its the gigabyte gtx275. Both 260's are still with warranty

all of my tradings have always been done in person, i see the stuff, i give the cash.
that gtx275 might be good, but if 260 has warranty, go with gigabyte 260,that's what i would do...if i can't see it, feel it, test it, then written warranty is fine...

sorry my bad.... is the seller well known or trusted by people who bought stuff from him? cuz seriously the gigabyte is way better than msi even the look is better.

I never heard about the GTX260 216sp versions being faster than a GTX275. I can't even see how that would be possible unless you aggresively overclocked the GTX260.

Do not buy GTX260s

Buy a 4890, they constantly outperform GTX 285s

yea ATI 4890 is better than those if you can get it for the same price and not XFX.

guy wants us to recommend him what to buy
i recommend gigabyte 260 because the warranty
if 275 had warranty i would recommend it
260 overclocked can beat 275, but 275 can also be overclocked...
all in all if he gets 275 which is not good who is to blame?
again,i'd get 260 with warranty...

check the seller of the it if you see he's trusted go for it, all in all don't go for that MSI gtx260.
