Finally got the money to upgrade my ram and video card

Ram (G. skill was sold out

Decent upgrade from 2x 256 and 2x 512 generic and x1800gto?

dont spend that cash yet.

For the same price of that ram, you can easily get DDR2 for CHEAPER and for the price of that video card you can get a way better performing 8800gts. and lets be honest, your current video card is no chump either. check this out:

8800gts 320mb 259$
P5N-E sli. all the options you need and more. great OCer 87$ oem

for now, I would say ONLY upgrade the video card, find a buyer for your current rig. when you do, save your cash upgrade to a C2d after july 27th. look at these prices.

My board is ddr only

. Also my board supports crossfire so I'll do that later this year or next when the price drops. Video card came with a free game of Double agent, so that's a $45 value right there.

Wow. That's a big upgrade.

Muskin makes some good ram, and that X1950XT will serve you well into the DirectX 10 War between ATI/AMD and NVIDIA/Intel.

How would the Mushkin compare to the g. skill I wanted to get. Would of saved $40, but they were out of stock at the moment.

All the parts are in, but I'm having trouble with some things with the video card and ram

. Just slight things invovling overclocking, but things still run great none the less
