Want to upgrade from dual core to a quad core which of these will be the best upgrade I mainly play games on my pc.Here is a list provided by HP
This motherboard supports only AM3 processors
Memory support is limited to DDR3 modules only.

What are your current cpu?

Phenom x4 900 series would be the choise. 975? Or one of the others

Well, its has to be an phenom II x4 900 series then. Would be an great upgrade. the 975 is delivered at 3.6GHz, but the other would be able to hit same speeds whit some cooling, making them just as good, but to a lower price.

Yes,phenom x4 925 is a good chooise. Then oc it:)
