Hey Guys,

I am thinking about upgrading my PC as Crysis 3 is just around the corner.

My build atm

CPU: AMD AM3 Phenom II x4955BE
Mobo: ASUS M5A97 EVO
RAM: G Skill 4G(2x2G) DDR3 1600Mhz
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower XT 775
CPU HSF: Zalman Performa CNPS10X
GPU: Sapphire HD 7850 OC'ed

I would like to get another 8 GB of ram, change my cpu to 8350 and I am not sure if I should get another 7850 or sell the one I have and go with gtx670/7970.

I have a ssd drive already that I am going to use for OS.

What do you recommend I do?

I am going to have to say 7970 as well my friend. Crysis 3 beta to me seems really demanding,.

I assumed you had already made up your mind on the FX8350. If your wanting to keep your current MB and not switch much then the 8350 is a good choice, I have one in mine and its a fun chip to play around with. I does everything that I need to do and does it very well.

I wanted to go Intel but I will have to get a new motherboard so that's the only thing that keeps me from doing that. I have had amd for about 3 years and its been good but after reading reviews about Intel, makes you wonder how much better it really is. Especially when it comes to gaming and trying out sli or crossfire setups.

Will 8350 run 2x 7970?

Im sure some people will chime in and say otherwise but yes an 8350 will run 2 7970's. There is a guy in here with 4 7970's on an 8350, I have 2 7950's with my 8350 @ 4.8ghz and it is more than enough for me...especially since I am just on a single 27" 1920x1080 monitor.

how much are you going to spend to upgrade for Crysis 3? You should be able to play it with what u have.. if u want to wait for gtx 700's or even haswell or steamroller. but if ur going with a highend card pcie 3.0 would be nice:thumb:

I was gonna sell my old parts and then add about $450!

I was thinking about getting a second HD7850 but my CPU will not be able to run them even tho its been overclocked to 4Ghz!

DO i need to upgrade RAM, is 4GB enough or not anymore?

I wanted to but my CPU will not be able to run them unfortunately, it wont go past 4GHz so I kinda hit the brick wall there.
