Upgrading pc, but wanting to keep my q6600

hello!

im new around here, and i have a question to ask

im looking foward to upgrade my pc, and i want a motherboard with the following features:
  • 775 socket for my core 2 quad q6600
  • double pci express slots to do crossfire/sli , preferable crossfire
  • 8gb ddr3, if it can support up to 12gb even better, if there is not such a thing, 8gb ddr3 will do it
  • able to support overclocking so i can make my q6600 go to 3.0Ghz+
i have heard very mixed reviews about the motherboard DP45SG so, i wonder if somebody else can share his/her opinion on this or maybe someone can recomend me a better MoBo than DP45SG

as well i wonder if i can get some recomendations on a cooler unit for a overclocked q6600, i have read nice reviews about Scythe MUGEN-2 cooler

if i were to run a pc like that one, im not sure what kind of PSU i would need, so, help with this would be nice along with a nice CPU case recomendation

thanks for your time

Well your gonna want a 790i board for DDR3 + SLI.
Crossfire + DDR3 is tricky, your looking at this expensive x48 board:

I think what you're looking for is the Gigabyte EP45T DS3R.

That's one of the strongest overclocking boards for socket 775 available.

If you want CFX you get a X48. If you want SLI then a 790i. Then thing is that you are better off selling the Q6600 and getting like a i5 setup for about same price.

The UD3P is neither expensive or an X48 board . . .
