I use MSI AfterBurner 2.2.0 Beta 8 with On-Screen Display(OSD) enabled for the gpu usage/temp stats and FRAPS for the FPS. However, right now I am checking the OSD options in Afterburner and I see that you can have it monitor FPS as well along with many other things, so I'm just gonna use this to monitor the FPS and get rid of FRAPS

with my 6970's @1000 core stock memory...

outside : 89-150

inside :110-180

thats with slightly higher than ultra settings AA Post is set to high and AA defered was 8x and motion blur 100...u get the picture I just put everything to max to see how it performs...

if you liquid cool your card you can easily get 20% more performance if you overclock them! they are 6970 chips anyways...so you can take them from stock 830 core to about 1050 without too much trouble

Thanks i also did what u said and added the fps status too.

I have 1 more question, my clock in ccc is 940 but in afterburner it shows 880mhz, i check gpuz i do have 940mhz,do u know what is wrong w/ it?

your graphics card is probably not defective...you could send it back and get one that is defective..everyones systems are a little different in some aspects than others which could make them get acouple more fps..what systems were those "other ppl" you mentioned running

yes they are probably over exaggerating by a few fps aswell...tryin to make their e-peen bigger than it is...

Like others said dont run fraps at same time...can slow game performance down...others might be running more volts into there 6990 or have it oced higher ....

Also please fill in your sig computer...It can help us help you more ...and in the future for other stuff...

can you plz take a screen shot for the settings and if u dont mind, take another pic where u have fraps or fps recording on either outside or inside, thanks.

also there is no option for AA defered 8, max is 4

Also, do you know what drivers they were using compared to what drivers you are using? newest drivers are not always the best drivers....that could skew the fps a little bit too

Look just above your post, the bro named porky he has a 6970 CF and he is getting very nice fps comparing to mine , and he said he has everything maxed out and he also has a 24" monitor which is 1080p probably .

Just do screenshot for the settings then with fraps on to show the fps for the other . Thanks a lot.

Yes, like i said, 3d mark11 shows about the right range of number i am suppose to get. And i see ppl getting 20-30 more fps in similar rig than wat i am getting -_-. Because i have a 15 dayz direct replacement, that is why i want to figure out the questino kinda urgently.

Try a different graphics driver ... some ppl report high fps when they are just standing still and not moving....then they start running and it decreases...

is your computer at 4.4ghz like you said it is? in the screenshot it says 3.3ghz ...

you should really go into options on this website and fill in your computer specs...

vista vs windows 7 performance too ...what do you have?

your card is fine, the beta is the problem, run other benches and you will see that you get normal results
and don't trust many people for this beta
some might lie only to say that it runs great on their system
and it doesn't run those frames
but they say that it does so that they feel cool
it's all about the hype

oh and that what d33r said, people report what framerates they have while standing still...
go crawl to the end of the level and stare at the wall and you will get magnificent fps...
all in all don't trust everything you read, i am sure your card is fine

Man we have very similar rigs, i found ur driver and the cap1 too.
I am just wondering for the cap1, it is an exe file, do i just need to install it and it will automatically apply into games?

Also after i update my drivers, will the cap1 been overwritten or deleted or it will still be there until i update a newer cap ?

Run the card at stock, benchmark it and see if it's running within range of other rigs like yours.

Now turn it up and see whats what...
