Hey guys! I recently picked up an HD4870 and discovered that it requires 2x 6pin power cables to run. However, I have an Ultra XVS 600W PSU that only has one. Would it be safe to buy a "molex-to-6pin" adapter, and plug it straight into my PSU for another connection?

Thanks.

EDIT: I was thinking of getting this cable - http://cgi.ebay.ca/PCI-E-6-Pin-to-2-...ht_6144wt_1165

Yes, that would be fine.

It's only really unsafe if you've got a really low-rated power supply and it can't handle the power output of two cables, which you don't have.

Have fun with the 4870.
