I have a Corsair Flash Voyager 16Gb USB 2.0. USB 2.0 is suppossed to be 400mb/s, but I'm only getting about 22MB/s, less than half of what I should be getting. Is this becuase of my RAM, HDD, or just something I'm missing?

Thnx.

Ya, but I should be getting 50 MB/s. Instead, I am getting only 22MB/s.

You're getting "up to 50MB/s", not sustained

22MB is good for USB 2.0 I think 30MB is the max real world. There is overhead with USB notice fire wire has lower theoretical speed but faster real world. Just the way USB is.

My WD MyBook only gets about 36MB/s read/write via USB 2.0. That's pretty solid for a flashdrive to get 22.
