I've experienced this in games such as BFBC2 and TF2 (This could of been multicore rendering in tf2 or me though. I haven't checked lately.)

So, I've narrowed it down this is why I've made a new thread. I realized this stuttering only happens when I plug my mouse or headphones into my leftside USB 1.0 port. If the headphones are in I get crackling and bad sound + some stuttering. If the mouse is in then I get mouse lag and stuttering. If the mouse is in that port or headphones outside of game(s) there is no issue. However if I plug both devices into my USB 2.0 port through a hub during game. There is no problem as well.

I've bolded some strange things that lead to issues and non-issues. Could it be some weird overlapping electrical current on that USB?

Specs are as follows. This is happening on my notebook. Please read it slow. I hope you guys understand what I'm saying.

Gateway 6860FX
x7800 2.6/800 @ 3.0
8800M GTS @ 625/1500/900
320GB HDD 5400 RPM
4GB 667 RAM

I have 2 (2.0 ports) and 1 (1.0 Port). The 1.0 port is giving me trouble....

it might of always, just never noticed it. Read my specs.. they're fairly decent/ok.

Interference from the USB ports I'm guessing.

edit: explains the sound, but no idea for the stuttering.
