Use 9100 Integrated or 6800 GS?

My friend just got a new computer that comes with an integrated Nvidia 9100 chip. He wants to know if his old computer's 6800 Gs would be better to put in the computer now or to use the 9100 Integrated. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 6800 gs should be much better according to this chart

Better solution:

Pick up a 9600 GSO for $50 and call it a day.
Nvidia 9100? What is that? Are you sure it's not the 9100M?
Thanks Scottery, +rep.

The specs for the computer state this, "NVIDIA GeForce 9100 Graphics with 256MB integrated shared graphics memory. Up to 3838MB Total Available Graphics Memory as allocated by Windows® 7".

Here is a link to the PDF of the computer in question:

Doesn't onboard graphics use memory from the RAM, thus making you have less RAM available for other things?...I'd use the 6800.

It must be an OEM only design... based on the 9100M specs, it's crap.

8 Stream Processors.
450 MHz core clock.
1100 MHz shader clock.

A 6800 would be better.

Most do. (AMD's HD3xxx/4xxx IGP have optional dedicated 128MB Sideport memory.) More importantly, system memory access is much slower than dedicated graphics memory.

If you wanted a decent card you could probably pick up a 9600GT for about $30 in the Sales section of these forums.
