Hi, Im wondering if i could possibly use usb to vga/dvi and be able to use 4 monitors at the same time while in SLI? I have 1 22" Center, 2x 20" sides portrait style and i just got a 17" dell monitor i would like to use for movies.

Since I use sli i have to change from SLI mode to activate all monitors just too use all three. If i were to buy usb to vga would i be able to use sli and still use more then 2 monitors?

Thanks

Yes you can buy a USB to VGA thing. But your probably better off buying another cheap video card. It will cost less look nicer and perform better.

The best thing you can do is simply use just 3 monitors.

USB to VGA / DVI should be last resort. you know they make video cards for just about every type of slot.

If you insist that all you do is broswe the web you can actually put a PCI-E x16 slot into a x1 slot. All it dose is lower the amount of bandwidth which you wont be using.

Yeah I know, just trying to avoid buying a pci card because ill probably be buying a new board with Ivy with probably all pci express. All slots are taken up but a pci slot. Ill probably buy some cheap used pci card video card to do the job then.

Just a fyi. PCI-X is a different slot from PCIe (PCI Express).

PCI-X are the 2 dark green, long slots.

According to this i cant http://www.slizone.com/object/sli_multi_monitor.html

My only options are another video card or usb.
