can you use peltier under a good heat sink like thermaright xp 120? or do you have to use water system..think it would work?

uh, no, that is a very bad idea, even most of the low end watercooling setups cant cool a pelt well enough...It's a really bad idea and i don't recommend it.

only time i would use a pelt with AC is if it was outside the case and the pelt is no more than 80W. In fact i do that to chill water :-D

well i got it up and going nd got my 3700 @2800mhz and running only 32c under a load,,so im going to stick with air coolong for now,,,,cpu volt at 1.5 and seems stable,,,might go higher not sure,,,lol,,

There's a company out there that is making a heatsink (sorry can't recall the name) that is basically a bolt-on peltier air-cooled unit. Sounds nice, pricey though, like $140 US.
