I currently have a HTPC I'm using more and more as a server. I'd like to know the cost to run per month. I've tried my best but what can I say, maths isn't my strong point.

If anyone can help, Specs are in my sig.

On a side note, I'd like to stream video and music to a 'client' downstairs using Wireless N. It tops out at about 11MB/s. A) Is that good enough and B) Can anyone recommend a cheap client that works with 1080p 3D MKV/BD Iso? Additionally, can I streams my Blu-Rays over my WiFi using the server BD-ROM?

Thanks.

I used a calculator and found your peak wattage to be 221W, for the sake of simplicity, we will go with 200w.

If your server is on 24 hours a day, that is 24h*200w= 4800watt-hours, or 4.8kilowatt-hours a day.
4.8*30= 144KWH per month. In the UK, the average is 15 pence per KWH, so that's
144KWH*15= 2160 pence per month, or

21.6 pounds.

A) 11MB/s is great by me, but i'm no expert
B) can't help you there.
