using ssd drive for OS

sup guys, i currently am using my ssd drive for windows vista 64. i have a raptor drive for my secondary drive where all my music , videos ect is installed.

my question is, what kind of performance increase would i get by for example installing crysis on the ssd drive instead of the raptor drive? does the drive speed only help with loading times? or can it contribute to better fps ect? my system is fast as it is, and i have plenty of room on the ssd drive for games but i kinda want to keep the ssd drive just for windows.

Also what other programs would you recommend putting on the ssd drive? so far i have stuck to putting everything on the raptor drive....nero, aol, itunes, all my games, ect..i use my pc for gaming and burning dvd's ect..

The 120GB Apex isn't that much faster than a Raptor. In fact, it has issues with small writes which may cause stuttering. (JMicron FTL)

Using a VelociRaptor for a storage drive is a waste... you would be better off selling it and getting a larger slower HD.
You should be using your SSD for OS & programs, games etc.

Games will load quicker, files will transfer quicker, installing programs will be quicker and so on.

The one thing I recommend to do is to put your temporary internet files folder onto the Raptor. SSD's will wear over time and files stored whilst browsing the internet (1000's sometimes) will be written onto the SSD

I have my temporary internet folder stored on a USB ram drive. Its a simple process. Goto Internet Options from your browser, then browsing history settings and move folder.

But if i have my games on the raptor drive why is it a waste? if i got a large slower one wouldn't that be downgrading? I bought it because i thought it was a good drive for gaming
