Where do I get that?

And the guy I'm sending this to is a hard core n00b, and he needs a tutorial.

He should choose the POP3 option
User info is his verizon.net email address and password
Incoming mail server (POP3) is "incoming.verizon.net"
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is "outgoing.verizon.net" , an alternative address is "smtpout.verizon.net"

put that in the settings and thunderbird should work
