Its a little low.
5770 according to Guru3D should be getting around an 8-9K GPU score.
Make sure all the settings in the Vantage setup are default and all the CCC 3D settings are correctly adjusted.
If they are, try either the 9.12 betas or the 9.10 officials.
The 9.11 aren't very good with 5770's for some reason.
That's really low over all I think, isn't it?
shouldn't that score be about 12,000-13,000 ???

Nope.
The 5770 is a bit over-rated.
Its not much better performance wise than a 4850 or 4770.

this score is with the preset on high. is that normal? or are most peoples posted scores on a differant setting?

I see, I did not know that. I assumed the 5770 was about a GTX260

so its not bad I'm just running an over-rated card...That makes me feel better

Thats what I was under the impression of too.
I even heard people talking about how an OCed 5770 gets up there with 4890's.
It doesn't, these things OC well, but, there is very little gain.
Stock (850/1200) I got an 8850K GPU score.
950/1300 I got a 9250K GPU score.

Sorry bro, the hype got me too.
Just think of it this way, if you get another to CF you got the performance of a 5870. It actually beats the 5870 a lot.

yeah that score is terribad for a 5770, it doesnt matter how you slice it. Call it what you want, but this is irregular

My single 280 gets 12.3k with 650/1450/1200 clocks. Not too much higher than stock

Have you:

-Updated drivers?
-made sure card wasnt over-throttling
-checked Vantage settings, made sure settings were on default?

eeeks! my 8800gt does better than that for 50$,

I'd suggest giving that thing a nice overclock because I hear the OC real well, also getting that cpu up near 4.0ghz should help too

I believe that score is on the regular preset - performance.. hence the P####

youra6, ofcourse a gtx 280 is going to do better because it is a few notches above a 4890

think of this: gtx 280 >gtx 275 > 4890 > 4870 > 4850
..if a 5770 is essentially a 4870, perhaps a 4890 when overclocked then the gtx 275 and 280 are going to be better. I'd say a 5770 is give or take equal to a gts 250/gtx 260 (not the 216 version)

edit:
look at the top single card rankings for 5770s on hwbot (granted that these are on incredibly high clocked cpus for benching), the highest score is just over 13k, the bottom score are more near 9k, i'd say thats a pretty normal vantage score

I say the 4890 is better, because the its true potential is unleashed when its overclocked making it as fast as a 285
well i overclocked it as much as the bois would allow (960/1400) I'm sure it can go higher. now its at ~9900

the 9.12 driver defiantly helped but test results seem inconclusive at best my last score is 9268 GPU score for vantage vs 7940 with the 9.11 i was using 3d 05 before that and the results were all over the place like 17377 stock 17980 on a 910/1398oc and then it dropped after i installed cod waw to 1200 for no reason and now my final oc settings 932/1401 its 14246 also found that i was able to get to an overclock of 957/1440 with using ut3 COD WAW(74fps avg) COD MW2(67fps avg) as tests for artifacts surprisingly i load half life 2 on full settings and it crashed all the way down to 932/1401 final overclock

No matter how you twist it, a single 5770 is not a valid choice. There was this euphoric attitude on OCN when the 5 series came out. Tons of threads why the 5770 is so much better than the 4870 and 4890. People wrote pages and pages and some people bought the 5770. You seem to be a victim of that hype. A few members, including myself, have encouraged people to buy the 5850 or the 5870. We did recommend the 5770 but only in CFX because of the great scaling and performance gain.

Here's mine. Keep in mind I have an 939 Athlon 64 X2 [email protected] Yours should be a good deal higher. I'll rerun it when I upgrade my system(AM3, DDR3, Quad) on the 20th.

@Wishmaker. I think that's horrible "advice". The 5770 performs great in games. I wouldn't tell people a card is an invalid choice because of a benchmark that doesn't even really support the product.

The current performance is typically 4870/4890 depending on game and WILL change with games like Aliens Vs. Predator and Battlefield BC2, etc..

Hell look at the feature tests. Compare mine to the GTX280 posted earlier.

It's not an invalid choice per say but the only reason to get it would be as an entry level direct X 11 card when for the smae price you can get better performing older cards. Hell my 8800GTX does better in vantage than it.

Id say vantage supports the 5770, where would you get the idea otherwise, because the 5770 doesn't allow physx? because any legit vantage score shouldn't take physx intoa ccount anyways.
