Does this score seem about right for my system.?Is it a high range score?

I'm assuming that's with physx on? Looks about right to me. It's an OK score, but most people test with physx off to get a real score.
Damn!
That's pretty darn good. I get 14500 MAX with my 9800gx2.

The only "real score" standard is put off by hwbot, because ATI Cards can't do Physx processing, so they think its unfair.

Hardly nvidia's fault for ATI's lacking. Nice score OP.

Does Physx help in MOST games? No. So if you get happy with having a higher benchmark score from a useless feature, good for you. I'd rather be able to compare my score with ATI systems and not have it inflated.

It's hardly a "useless" feature, just a new one. I'm sure most games will implement it in the near future, and a lot of popular ones already do.

Okay, this is where the "PHYSX SUX" vs. "YAY PHYSX" argument stops. Guaranteed that the OP doesn't care what your opinions are.

On topic: Run the test with Physx OFF if you want to compare your scores to ATI cards and Nvidia users who turned it off. It's a good idea.
Isn't the offical Futurmark score with Physx off? That world record score isn't using it, that's for sure or the CPU score would be much, much higher.

Physx is hardly new. You could buy physx cards a couple years ago, and still barely any games that are popular support it. Not sure how it's useful for benchmarking, you'd be crying foul if there was bonus points for DX 10.1 and your Nvidia GPU couldn't do it.

That's all i was trying to say. It's pointless to compare with Physx on for benchmarking, as ATI cards can't use it.

The weird thing is, vantage allows the use of a PPU but not using your nvidia card to do the physx, go figure.

.

It is relatively new in the developing world. How old is DX10? But how long did it take for a lot of games to be based around DX10? How old is 64 bit technology? I could go on and on.

Yes, physx is a few years old, but when you take into account how long it takes for developers to implement new graphics technology it is very new.

ok I will turn off physx and see what score I get
so what did you get im interested in how much it changed. im just starting out and trying to get info on stuff like this.
The GPU score is all that matters anyway.
