Surprisingly or not, the GM107 has landed in mobile segment. The newest GeForce 800M series will kick off with Maxwell GPUs very soon.

GeForce GTX 860M will use the same GPU variant as desktop GTX 750 Ti. It packs 640 CUDA cores, 40 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The GPU-Z didn't read core clocks correctly, so all we have is memory clock of 1253 MHz (5 GHz effective).

So the performance is about where it was predicted to be, unless Im forgetting something?

That is a pretty low clock though

Laptop parts need really low clockspeeds to keep the TDP manageable, since they use the same chip as an equivalent desktop GPU.
This is actually really good performance for a laptop GPU. It could probably play most games at 1080p with medium settings.

If this is to replace the 770m as predicted, it should be able to max most games out there. You have to keep in mind that 15.6 1080p panels and below really dont need AA applied, maybe 2x here and there

Oh, I thought you were referring to maximum settings with AA. In that case, it would max out games at 1080p (maybe not 60FPS all the time, but at least 30-35FPS).

Would be nice to see them use a 512 Core variant for the GT 850m

I get around 770m level performance with my SLI set up and I max out most games with 60 FPS or more with no AA or 2x AA at 1080p. I would certainly hope this would do around that range

Similar thoughts, wonder how it will perform with a vBIOS though...

yeah I would like to see how it overclocks on the GPU, my 765m does 80-120mhz depending on the game I play and 533mhz on the VRAM. I wonder how it does in games.

Those screen shots are sort of fake looking, I guess only time will tell if they are accurate.

It has about the same TDP as a 660M and is pretty much twice as fast. 765M on the other hand has higher TDP than the desktop 750Ti, it's in a different category than this chip.

No idea about the pricing but usually it's better to classify mobile parts by their perf/watt than price/perf or naming scheme.
