In the anandtech review, the 240GB drive does much better in a fair amount of the tests, including random reads and writes. Would getting 2 of the 120s and putting them in RAID0 alleviate the issue and put them on par or better than the 240? Or would this be not significant of a gain to warrant losing TRIM?

Regardless I'm waiting till the drives come down to their $250/$500 MSRP price.

It seems the 120GB models are a tad slower than the 240GB models for write speed but that's using AS SSD, which is a worst case scenario benchmark. In reality with real-life use, one tends to get 70% to 80% of the ATTO benchmark results (which are around 500MB/s read and write for both the 120GB and 240GB models).

Having said that, putting two 120GB SSDs in RAID0 will indeed beat a single 240GB SSD, hands-down. How much difference you notice with the human eye however, is questionable. But I guess that's true for any decent SSD.
