Very low Q6600 temps

This is idle temps with a xiggy and q6600 @ 1.45 volts. My load temps are around 52 on the hottest core. +1 for team xiggy?

Niice! with 1.4vCore I'm loading at 54 area

You've got some good airflow!

It depends all in the CPU. My Q6600 loads @ 60C with 1.35volts @ 3.6Ghz
Mine runs 50-60C (65-80F ambients) @1.4V 450x8 under full load.
Is your PC in the freezer?

Wouldn't it matter more on things like the quality of the cooler, case airflow, flat contact, and thermal paste? It'd be weird for more volts to equal less heat

CPU has a lot to do with it. I have 2 Q6600s. A 1.300 VID and a 1.225VID. The low VID one runs about 15C hotter at the same clocks and voltages, with all else being equal.

As for OP, your temps are low because of low ambient temperature. Put that in a room with a more normal temperature and you're going to be looking at way warmer temps.

what was the temp? I didnt see the core temp screen for some reason I was distracted....

I have never seen that low. With my TRUE and Lapped 1.312 VID Q I would see mid 20's on cold boots on crisp mornings....

but here in Fla, crisp mornings are few and far between

@ ljason.

same here for the most part. My 1.3125 VID @ 3.40 1.41v load would run at 55c hottest under load

my 1.2125 VID @ 3.6 1.41v load hits 65c..

the 1.3125 was Lapped, as the new one will be tomorrow....

OP. What is your CPU temp at 100% FULL LOAD? That is more important the idle temps.
Why don't you close the window and heat the room up to what most would consider a sane temperature. Then, run the test again using small fft's. Thanks.

Ya same here dude, I have 2 G0's. My first one, 1.2375 VID runs about 10C hotter than my newer 1.2875 chip. Pretty consistent with more than one cooler and multiple seats too. Of course like said, you can also close the door, and open the window on a cold night
, that would also give some impressive temps.
