I just updated my computer (it's a Boot Camp'd Mac running Windows XP, so I was running the Apple updater thing), and when I had to restart my computer, I noticed my resolution was changed. I looked around for the taskbar icon for my nVidia Ge Force 8800 card to change the screen size, but the icon was gone. I went to my device manager, and I cannot find anything for my video card. My computer is also now bugging me about some found hardware called a Video Controller, but fails to finish scanning for it. And now, pretty much every movement on screen skips a lot.

What is going on?

it sounds like your os tried to install its on drivers over your nvidia ones.
Try using something like driver sweeper to remove all drivers then install the most recent ones from Nvidia.
