Welcome to Lutro0's Video Sleeving Guide Series
View all of the videos on my YouTube Channel.

The heart behind this series is to educate the new and experienced sleever with new information and techniques that will give you the confidence to start any sleeving project. I will constantly be adding new videos to this series as well as reviews of new and old sleeving types and products. If you have any suggestions to add to the video series please feel free to post.

Part 1 - Tools of the Trade
This video will be all about what tools you will need for your sleeving project. After the video I will list all of the tools I mentioned. If you have any questions on any of them feel free to PM me or post it.

This section is always being updated with new guides, be on the lookout here and on my Facebook page for updates!

This is a great series... Lutro0, thanks for taking the time to disseminate your knowledge and lessons learned.

One suggestion: lately your signature sleeving look has been "shrinkless". I don't know if you feel that deserves a tutorial? It results in such a clean look and I don't think anyone does it as well as you do!

Lutro0! why did they need to move you!?!?!? this is craziness! (regrets posting for all the incoming emails that are gonna happen)

Edit: Don't you also need a Jeweler's flathead for opening SATA power connectors to sleeve them? Or do you just cut them off and fit a new connector after sleeving?
Nope your right, a small screwdriver - Preferable one with a wide flat head that comes to a good point is best as if you use to small of one it will eat into the plastic first. I will add that asap.

I totally plan on making a video for it, I am in the middle of moving to a new house and just started a new job so my time has been a little short. But as soon as we are moved in those are the first guides I will be doing.

Haha! Well it was talked about a while ago and cable sleeving has become so popular that it was thought best if a section was made for it so that everyone's questions could get answered and work displayed!

I don't know the exact definition of a sticky thread, but shouldn't it be on top?

Awwww damn... browsing the forums again answers my own question:

the threads themselves aren't always on top, but there are tiny tiny links on top of the threads list (which I didn't notice
biggrin.gif
) leading to the sticky threads.
Never saw this kind of "sticky" system in other forums.

Lutro0,

Long time my friend. I'm finally get some more hours to work on my build. Havin a few problems with sleeving my sata power cables. Any tips or tricks to get the sleeve level and the shrink level? Should I not use any shrink and just glue the cables level with the connectors?

I personally use superglue so I can pull the sleeve right up to the connector, this way it doesn't show the depression and holds tight. Sadly though to get it even and such just takes time and patience. BTW, good to see you again buddy!
