Why are you trying to install Vista inside of XP? Just boot from the disk and install from there.

Wait you are installing vista while currently in xp?

Your not supposed to do that. Put the disk in the drive then reboot and boot from cd drive and then go ahead and install.

Or where you just asking what the error message meant?

Well i tried to do that. Vista does not like my raid configuration. I get an almost similiar non descriptive error.

I load my raid array drivers and then select the partition i want to install on. It then tells me that it cannot determine if i have a system drive present.
