If you have Vista, and you are using a wireless, please let me know if you are getting the samething.

1- start menu type "CMD" then hit enter
2- type "ping -t www.yahoo.com" then enter P.S you can use any server or IP address.

This s a common problem with all wirelesses, I've had it before in XP, but the pings were like 12000+ms sometimes
other times I'd loose signal altogether, and have to reconnect... wired FTW

Yes, in fact I hate it so much that I'm getting a 32ft cat5 cable and pulling wires through 2 rooms soon.

No, this never happened to me in XP. And if I remember right, it never happened in vista until I got a new wireless adapter. So idk.

Happens for me too, but not neccessarily every 30 seconds, it ranges from 30 seconds to about a minute maybe, however I can game online without a problem.

Wow I was about to post this same problem, good thing I found this thread! I get this same problem only I use a wired connection
. Whenever I'm playing CSS I randomly disconnect every 5 minutes or so and have to reconnect everything, which sucks cause this happened to me last cal match 3 times. I thought it was the router so I bought a new one, then that one had the same problem so I returned it for another one and I still have the same problem... does anyone have a fix?

Really?! what wireless card do you have?

Ok, I switched wireless cards and no more lag. Basically, I took my little bro's Encore Draft n wireless card when I tried out Vista x64. The card made Vista x64 lock up, so anyways I went back to x86 and kept the card, I just ran the ping test and noticed that I was getting the lag (~1000ms), so I re-exchanged wireless cards, and took my WMP54GX back which was never Vista certified, but it works and it gives no lag at all. So just like FEAD Killa, I don't have any lag any more, it's just a matter of network adapter and drivers.

OO I could not stand that. How do you put up with it? I'd torch my router and my pc if that happened.

With my adapter, not a single lag, and that's without the fix. It's a matter of adapters, lol, uncertified adapters work better.
