Vista SP2 question?

I downloaded vista SP2 beta or RC, whichever one, but i need to know if this one will invalidate my windows like i read the previous one did? So hase anybody used this one yet? (KB948465)

I didn't know there was an SP2 beta out yet. Is this a legit compy of Vista?

ya, i bought it back in Feb of 06? right when it came out, but yes it is activated and legal

Agreed. If it is a beta from MS and your copy is kosher, nothing to worry about. Even if it somehow invalidates it, all you would need to do is call MS and get it fixed I would think.

Shows how much aI pay attention to OS's, lol. Guess I'll look and see if there is anything beneficial for SP2.

ya, but on a previous release i heard that it unactivated vista, and puts a watermark on?

It doesn't unactivate it. It just puts a watermark on.

But still, the fix is only a phone call away. You can probably google a fix and never have to call M$.

Just remember, this is still a Beta, although it is the RC now.
I refuse to be a beta tester for SP anymore after the fiasco I had with XP SP3 beta.
I will happily wait for RTM.
I installed SP2
v105 Beta 1
v113 Beta 2
v275 RC "escrow"
v286 RC1 (current version as far as I know)

I had to re-activate once (online) going from 105 to 113
Once you un-install SP and reboot twice there should be no issues
