i been lookin for a cheapish Vivo gpu, as i need video in and my gpu isnt quite upto what i need, i was thinking the Connect3D x800GTO, shader model 3 isnt really a worry to me. Maybe a X1600XT but i dunno if the performance would be much better?
£130+vat would be quite handy but im open to payin a lil more if its worth it.

Aight cheers fella's, ill do sum reading about the X1600XT, if its performance is better then a 6600gt it has a good chance, but ppl on this forums really give the card a hard time =/.

where you at? If you can get stuff from newegg the x800 gto2 from sappire has dual DVI and VIVO and is less than $200. If your out of the states the connect3d gto is a good card I have one but have never used the vivo. The x1600 is definately buggy but some models support avivo ATIs new video program and if thats all your looking for maybe thats the one to get. Also i would lookout for an x1800 xl as prices are coming down on those since the release of the x1900 cards.

lol, asking me were im at isnt as effective or as fast as looking at my post bit for location
. yeh im looking at a card with A/VIVO buts im also looking at not over spending as the vista release will bring DX10 so if i wanted a X1800XL i would need atleast another £70 which i cant justify as all i need is video in and a better performance then my nilla 6600.

yea been up most of the night worrying about my 4 year old son and how severe his pneumonia is, come here for a distraction to see if i can offer help and get some smart ass remark
. Sorry if i missed your location but the advice remains the same. If vivos what you want i would go with the newer ATI x1000 series or hold out for the next nvidia series. You'll save money fi you go with x1600 maybe a base model with 256mb or less maybe 128mb. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/TV_Cards.html Maybe a tv tuner card would be better if you have an extra pci slot save more and focus more money toward higher end vid card later and not have to worry about vivo on the card at all.

the x1600xt has AVIVO, not VIVO... = better quality on the x1600xt
