Vizio 26 inch not displaying properly

Hey guys, I recently bought a visio 26 inch lcd TV which I hooked up to my computer with a DVI to HDMI cable. I have a problem with the higher resolutions (1600X900, 1900X1080) getting cut off when I play games or at the desktop. The top,bottom,left and right parts of the picture are missing. When I go to a lower resolution like 1280X720 this doesn't happen. I can also adjust the horizonal and vertical positioning at 1280X720, but any higher and it seems to lock. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
